Raw food classes, locals and Girl on Raw
So as we prepare for the start of our third “un-cooking” class, I am excited and inspired. The sense of community around our cafe seems to grow each week as we meet and make friends with like minded locals.
The town of Maleny is a wonderful place. We are constantly engaging in interesting thought provoking conversations about compassionate eating and what that means to the individual. I love that we have the opportunity to do the work we do and have fun in the doing.
Last week we were lucky enough to have the wonderful Robyn Law from Girl on Raw run a master class for us and what a turn out. We had standing room only and the food was incredible.
She really turned on a feast and then we had the joy of all of her goodies for supper. Laura as usual had spent so much time before hand preparing all the amazing food for our supper. We are truly fortunate, (you might even say blessed) to have such amazing chefs and supporters around us. I am constantly delighted and I have to confess, surprised at how well received our style of food is in this amazing community. We love the enthusiasm of our customers and how they are constantly trying to work out the ingredients in our dishes…funny they only had to ask. Its not about keeping things to our selves, its about educating…if you want to find our recipes check them out here. It is such a delight to run these classes, we come away so inspired and motivated. Feels so good to add a little hope to someone struggling with high blood pressure, or obesity…and lets face it what a yummy way to do it!
It is a delight to own a compassionate food cafe and I am grateful for the opportunity…
